With responsiveness and a refresh rate like that, you’ll never miss any of the action, and there will be no jerkiness to the picture at all. Standard definition channels also look good, much better than with a typical LCD TV.

The unit includes three HDMI connections, allowing you to connect a satellite/cable receiver, DVD/Blue-ray player and a video game console. That should be enough for just about anyone’s home theater setup. It also includes a proprietary Samsung feature called Anynet+ that helps control other components, but they need to be Samsung as well in order for the system to function.

You can also connect a camera or other USB drive to the Samsung PN50C450. The included browser allows you to play music, look at pictures and even watch video.

Overall, the Samsung PN50C450 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV is an excellent value. It offers all the features you would expect in a much more expensive model, and it looks great, too. If you’ve wanted a 50-inch TV but always cringed at the price, the Samsung PN50C450 Plasma HDTV may be just what you’re looking for.
